A cool gift shop on Queen Anne Avenue North, charley+may co.  hosted me recently for an  event. I prepared my favorite recipes from the book to bring: shrimp with rendang dip (coconut curry) and rojak salad on a stick with a black dip (shrimp  paste and sweet soy).

Old friends,  new friends, charley+may's friends, neighbors, even members of the Queen Anne chamber of commerce checked out the crowd and the refreshments. I was especially thrilled when three generations of a Malaysian family that live on Queen Anne pronounced my food very good and sent more friends later on to taste and buy a book.
